This video will provide you with the following objectives:
1. Differentiate pressurized pipe flow from open channel flow
2. Define open channels in terms of various geometric variable
You will need to input the channel geometry…width, depth, side slope and or pipe diameter. Once those are inputted, one can calculate and determine the area, wetted perimeter, top width, hydraulic radius and hydraulic diameter.
3. Finally, identify the different flow types that are present in an open channel.
