This is an introduction to how Precision Time Protocol (PTP) works across the network. it starts with the roles various components have in the network, then describes how the end devices (Ordinary Clocks) stay in sync with the source of time (Grand Master Clock), and thus with each other. Because PTP operates differently for different types of networks, this video will explain what those differences mean when it comes to synchronizing the end devices. The basis for this PTP introduction video is from a 90 minute Cisco Live session which you watch on demand. Search the internet for “Cisco Live on demand”. Then search the library for ‘2571’. You’ll find multiple session to choose from. Explore Cisco's Industrial IoT solutions ➡️ https://cs.co/6005Aw4KZ Ready to speak to an expert?
