Introductory Peak Bagging - Lake Ingalls loop

Took my two boys on a backpacking and peak bagging adventure around Lake Ingalls. We've been to the lake several times and have always wanted to go backpacking here. On the way in we went up to Longs Pass and then traversed the ridge from there to Ingalls Pass, climbing Point 6878 (aka Not Hinkhouse Peak - https://www.summitpost.org/point-6878-not-hinkhouse-peak/223195 ). The Point 6878 to Ingalls Pass section is significantly steeper and harder than the first section. We followed the normal trail into Headlight Basin where we found a fantastic camping spot, right by a creek with a view of Mt Stuart. In the morning, we made our way to Lake Ingalls, then scrambled the slabs up to the saddle between Ingalls Peak and South Ingalls Peak. I had read that there was a way to scramble the backside of Ingalls Peak, but I didn't see anything easy so we just followed the ridge to South Ingalls. There're easier approaches lower down but we stayed on the ridge since it was more fun. Once on the summit, the descent looked pretty spicy but we went for it (instead of the easier option of dropping down right and circling around). We tried downclimbing a crack but it got a little too steep so we went further skiers left into more positive terrain and got down to the ridge. The rest of the ridge had several harder sections, some of which we climbed through and others we went down and around. The rock quality is usually high with little choss so climbing sections felt secure. There are some fantastic views with great exposure from the ridge. Fortune Peak was an easy approach and descent and as we continued on the ridge to Ingalls Pass, we decided to skip the rest of the ridge and just scramble down some scree fields into Headlight Basin and to our campsite. After a long lunch, we packed up our campsite and headed out on the normal trail back to the trailhead.
