Josquin des Prez's magnificent five-part motet, "Inviolata" (part 1), as set for lute by Hans Gerle (1533), played by Jacob Heringman on an instrument after Hans Frei by Michael Lowe (1999). This track comes from Heringman's forthcoming album on Inventa Records, a division of Resonus Classics, released on 30 October 2020 in time for the 500th anniversary of Josquin's death in 1521.
