I/O PORT Programming in PIC18 Microcontroller || LED as peripheral device with PIC microcontrollers

These ports are composition of hardware pins of chip which served as communication path between microcontroller chip and external world. Same pin can be used for both input and output purpose. This input and output mode of pin is selected using the another important special function register (SFR) present in file register of pic microcontroller called TRISx. So In this video we will also learn about what are TRIS and how they can controller the various PORTS available in PIC 18 Microcontroller. By default, Each PORT is input PORT. To make a port as OUTPUT PORT, One need to put 0 (zero logic level) in corresponding TRIS register. For example PORTC is supposed to be configured as an output port then TRISC register must have (0s) in all bits .
