We've had a few dances in Iona lately, and it's been great to see so many people of all ages on the dance floor, and folks new to square dances giving it a go! We thought it might be helpful to share some videos explaining what's happening in the figures.
The set danced in Iona and other local communities consists of 3 figures - the first figure is danced to jigs, and the second and third to reels. The figures work best with 4 couples in a set. There are many variations that may appear in the sets depending on where they're danced and who's dancing.
