IoT – Based Smart System Design Workshop

The Department of ECE successfully organized an insightful and hands-on IoT – Based Smart System Design Workshop on 24th and 25th February 2026, featuring Mr. M. Tharun Kumar, Managing Director of SS Lab Equipment’s, as the Resource Person. The workshop provided participants with strong theoretical foundations and practical exposure to building interconnected smart systems. Students explored IoT architecture, sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. They gained hands-on experience in hardware interfacing, communication protocols, and cloud integration for real-time data visualization and analytics. The session also emphasized designing secure and efficient smart applications for industrial and home automation. The key highlight of the workshop was transforming participants from theoretical learners into self-reliant developers capable of building end-to-end smart solutions. It encouraged critical thinking, innovation, and the ability to identify real-world challenges and engineer automated, data-driven solutions.
