The lecture starts with providing an overview of IPsec, some numbers regarding IPsec usage as well as IPsec standardization. It explains the difference between transport mode and tunnel mode. It goes into details regarding the two IPsec main protocols: AH and ESP. It expalins that IPsec is one of the possible VPN solutions, and identifies the alternatives. It concludes with IPsec key management.
