Is This Pattern a Mistake… or Genius?

Today we finally make my redesigned version of friendship-bracelets.net Pattern 5739… and somewhere along the way, I started wondering if the original pattern might actually contain a mistake. 😅 While knotting through the zigzags, one color suddenly changes how it behaves, breaking the rhythm the bracelet had been following the entire time. Naturally, I stopped everything, went back to the original pattern, and checked whether I had copied it incorrectly. Turns out… nope. That’s exactly how the original pattern works. The transition from simple chevrons into complete zigzag madness and then back into symmetry gives it a really unique look. Would I recommend it for a giant project or bag?
