It's not all bad
Maybe all is not yet gone, There’s still a light before the dawn, Lines that cross the silent sky Can bring a voice when hearts run dry. A silent glass can hold a distant face, Can carry love across a place, And through the noise, if we still care, We’ll find each other waiting there. There is a time upon this earth, When one remembers his own worth, To look away, but also near, And choose the heart instead of fear. We can be simple, we can be kind, With open hearts and clearer minds, Not lost inside the empty glow, But using light to help love grow. We can be closer, not apart, If wisdom guides the human heart, Our lifes can be the burning flame, For love to speak through every name. It is not evil in our hands, It builds no walls, it builds no lands, It only follows what we choose, Can heal, or it can bruise. A message sent across the sea Can make a lonely soul feel free, A song can reach where feet can’t go, And warm a heart we’ll never know. The silent glass may hold our pain, Don't lose the world that lies between, Let every tool, and every art, To build the doorway to the heart. We can be simple, we can be kind, With open hearts and clearer minds, Not lost inside the empty glow, But using light to help love grow. We can be closer, not apart, If wisdom guides the human heart, Our lifes can be the burning flame, For love to speak through every name. So don’t throw the future away, Just learn to hold it the right way, Let every call, and every line, Bring back a soul, not waste our time, Let every voice that travels through Remind us what is real and true. We built our dreams on silver streams, On glowing nights and waking screens, We learned to run before we’d stand, With empty time inside our hands. But still a voice can cross the rain, And touch a heart through miles of pain, For every wire, every line, Can carry mercy, if we’re kind. So maybe what we feared the most Was never just the silent ghost, But how we chose to drift away, When love was calling us to stay. Maybe the time will come again, When hearts are stronger than the chain, When all this light won’t make us blind, But teach us all how to be kind. We’ll be more simple, more sincere, More brave to love, more slow to fear, And if we use with care this flame, The world may never be the same. What will happen to us, all? Maybe we rise after the fall.
