It's Yer Choice: A Dog Impulse Control Game!

It's Yer Choice is a game developed by Susan Garrett that teaches impulse control for dogs. How To Play: The dog game involves holding a treat in your closed fist, and only opening your fist when the dog is not nosing or pawing at your hand. If you open your hand, revealing the treat, and the dog goes for the treat, close your hand back around the treat. Open your hand again when the dog backs off. The dog is only rewarded with a treat when you can open your hand and the dog continues to wait patiently, not lunging for the treat. This is an especially great impulse control dog training game for dogs that have a high prey drive or other behavior issues that come from being unable to manage their impulses. The dog learns that they need to pause, control themselves, and show self-restraint in order to win the reward!
