Ep. 6 - Homage watch bezels, info plus remove & replace tutorial
I made this video due to a subscriber being in a bit of a dilemma with regards on how to put a bezel back together.
The bezels used in the Homage game are somewhat different to the one's used in Seiko's and therefore require a different method of assembly.
- Main components: Centre bezel retention wire & tension wire
- All bezels are not created equally
Most chinese manufacturers use a lower quality of steel to produce the bezel, while the case is 316L the bezels can be up to 2 grades below. They also vary in thickness which means some should not be messed with or require very experienced hands
- Pro's and con's versus Seiko
Pro -Very good alignment and rotational feel (if it’s done right) with 0 playback for the most part along with consistent rotational feedback
Con - Quite flimsy and very very fiddly to get back on
