AM Worship Service 17 May 2026 Jesus and the Centurion (Matthew 8.5-13) In this message, we look at Jesus and the Centurion from Matthew 8:5–13 and consider the powerful example of genuine faith shown by the centurion. Though he was an unlikely person in the eyes of many, his humility, trust, and confidence in Christ stand as a wonderful testimony to the work of God in the heart. This sermon explores the components of genuine faith—need, humility, trust, and hope—and also the rewards of genuine faith, including Christ’s commendation, the hope of eternal inheritance, and the peace that comes from resting in His word. May this message challenge us to examine our own hearts and encourage us to live with the same sincere, God-given faith.
