Last week we talked about Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes. The fish as I mentioned is a cypher that means “Jesus Christ the son of God” – and to add to this, this is why a fish is a symbol of Christianity. Followers of Christ used this symbol to show others that they were part of “the Way.” A fish symbol is still used today to identify Christians - whether it be a bumper sticker, on a T-shirt, etc.
This lesson focuses on how to be a true Christian; not someone that just claims to be Christian. All believers should know why they believe and are convicted to follow Jesus Christ
