This 7th chapter is the 3rd portion of the Lord’s ministry, roughly 28 BC, and it could be titled “the Rejection of the King.” The rabbi's were looking to kill (murder) Jesus Christ because they knew the spiritual power he possessed by performing miracles that they couldn't do. So the real reason they wanted to kill him is because Christianity was real – it was "truth." This truth eventually overtook Judaism as the true faith of God’s people.
