He honestly has great music taste based on a lot of the songs he uses for his outros, so shout out to him haha. So upon hearing it I thought it was perfect for these two, but I wanted to wait to use it until season 3 was over so I had more scenes to work with… and well I finally finished it! What I was really trying to show with this video is how much Jonah’s presence has impacted Amy, starting on the very first day they met. Amy’s life had been so stagnant for so long and she had been stuck in this rut, simply accepting her circumstances and never trying to go for something more. Jonah was really the first person who put her happiness first and made her feel like she deserved better. This guy just shows up at her job with his optimistic attitude, and really started making her days feel different, bringing out her fun side and showing her moments of beauty. She in return makes sure to ground him and keep him in check when he’s being a little too naïve or over the top. They just balance each other out so perfectly. That’s what I love so much about their dynamic, and I really hope that came across in this video. I feel like it could have come out a lot better, but I’m probably never going to be 100% happy with it since I had been envisioning it for so long… so screw it here it is haha. Sorry for rambling so much already but I wanted to also just give my opinion on how I think season 3 ended, so feel free to stop reading at any point lol. These two have been my biggest otp on tv for almost two years, and so I just have a lot of thoughts and feelings about how their story has been handled. To be blunt, I really hate this pregnancy storyline… like honestly despise it. It makes absolutely no sense to me why the writers are choosing this path for Amy. The only way I can justify it is if America is taking time off at the beginning of next season to be home with her baby, and they need to explain Amy’s absence or something. Even if that’s the case though I feel like they could have explained it in a different way… this feels so extreme and unnecessary. Don’t get me wrong, I am so happy for America and her husband haha! But ya, this just doesn’t work for the show for so many reasons. Firstly, Amy basically flat out stated in season 2 that she didn’t want any more kids with Adam, and it’s so hard for me to believe she went back to him, no matter how drunk or lonely she was. Secondly, she in no way can afford a baby. It was made clear in 3x19 that she’s really struggling to make ends meet as it is, so it just doesn’t seem reasonable. I don’t understand why she’s choosing to stay pregnant. This is such a huge regression to Amy’s character and the progress she has made, she’s now essentially back to where she was when she was 19. Also, a baby would only prematurely accelerate her relationship with Jonah, and I’m scared it would put an added pressure on it. After waiting for them to happen for 3 seasons, this just isn’t how I wanted their relationship to start out. Who knows, maybe the writers are even gonna say that sleeping together was a mistake and that they should just stay friends for now, especially since she’ll have a baby to raise. I honestly have no idea what they’re thinking at this point. Wow I’m so sorry for that novel, I just needed a place to vent my feelings haha. Please tell me some of you feel the same way?! Oh well, there’s nothing we can do but wait until September and see what the writers have in store I guess.
