JPH-Sunburn Dreams

Moi Guys! “Sunburn Dreams” is probably the furthest thing from my usual heavy bass / aggressive music style so far — and honestly, that’s exactly why I wanted to make it. Instead of huge drops, distorted bass and chaos, this track focuses more on atmosphere, nostalgia and emotion. The whole song was built around soft piano melodies, sparkling synth arpeggios, warm analog pads, glitchy little electronic textures and dreamy layered synths that feel almost weightless. I wanted it to sound like an old summer memory at sunset: last school days before vacation, hot evenings outside with friends, melting ice cream, bike rides through quiet neighborhoods and those moments where you genuinely thought summer would last forever. The male vocals were kept soft and emotional on purpose to fit the dreamy synthpop atmosphere, while the production stays light, warm and floating almost the entire way through. Definitely a very different direction compared to my usual harder stuff — but probably one of the most personal and nostalgic tracks I’ve made yet. Lyrics : old backpacks by the classroom wall paper airplanes flying down the hall counting seconds till the final bell daydreaming under fluorescent spells sunlight dancing on the window frame every afternoon felt the same --- those summer nights still orbit me like tiny lights above the street sticky hands and melting dreams floating softly through the heat --- bike tires humming down the empty roads tiny fireworks from the telephone poles sticky fingers from the lemonade stand cheap sunglasses and sunburned hands old cassette tapes in my brother’s car singing badly underneath the stars thought those days would somehow never end funny how they disappeared so fast --- if I close my eyes tonight I still hear the schoolyard sounds summer drifting through the air like it’s waiting to be found again --- bike tires spinning through the orange glow fireflies drifting where the river flowed radio songs through the neighborhood dark tiny universes inside our hearts --- those summer nights still orbit me like old stars nobody else can see even if the years move on part of me still stays awake there ---
