June 2022 coding partial answers
Scoring marks in the coding questions for OCR J277 GCSE Computer Science, using only input, creating variables, print, def, return to write partial answers. These are basic coding skills that have been covered in every coding lessons. In this screencast, you will see that you can score about half the coding marks only using these basic skills - ignoring the if/else and the loops. There is, however, an attempt at calculating some sort of result in order to print it and thus secure the mark for outputting the result. Another key skill in these partial answers is to give meaningful names to the variables, so the examiner has a good idea of what we are attempting - we know the answer are incomplete, so the more we evidence our intent, the higher the chance to secure marks for inputting value, printing results, and using variables.
