A hand-made junk journal for a challenge set by Contemporary Scotland Textiles. Each member participating makes their own journal, which will be passed on to the next member on the list who adds a page. I’ve chosen to make mine into a gardeners journal. The cover is painted calico (upcycled workshop demonstration samples). The pages are a mix of eco-dyed or coffee stained papers, and pages from gardening books. It has a simple stitched cord fastening so pages can be added and removed to be worked on. Each member can choose their own theme, and set any guidelines but the one overriding rule is that you must not buy anything new.
