Jupiter Shark Diving
(2025) The town of Jupiter, FL sits on the eastern most part of the state and is closest to the warm waters of the gulfstream. As a result, if offers divers an excellent opportunity to dive with numerous species of blue water sharks: Bulls, Lemons, Silkies, Duskies, Sandbars, to name a few. In the winter months, Hammerheads and Tigers sharks visit these waters, and occasionally Whites and Whale sharks have been seen. While there is debate about the impact feeding sharks has on the ecosystem, what is clear are the cummulative effects of humans killing them for sport or even entertainment. Hopefully through this and other videos, people can appreciate these creatures for what they are - residents of the ocean and an important part of our planet's health and bio-diversity. It is a privilege to dive up-close to these magnificient creatures and a responsibility to educate and help preserve these species from destruction.
