JUSTICE AT DOORSTEP
Objective To produce a documentary that brings into focus the need for Alternative Dispute Resolutions mechanisms for delivering gender responsive justice on the one hand and encourage participation of the community in the Musalihati Anjuman program on the other. To also touch upon the successes that the GJTMAP program has achieved and the challenges that it faces in the society. Strategy We took a moving route while we steered viewers through the story of inadequacy of formal justice sector in Pakistan and moved on to the success stories for Musahaliti Anjuman experience and then rewound to the failures that were brought about by non participation of the community. The catch of the documentary was the human angle, telling the story through human experience so that the viewers are not only convinced about the utility of Musalihat Anjumans, but feel their responsibility towards fashioning their attitudes that become more gender responsive. Methodology The documentary followed the format of a docudrama. The viewers were taken to the real characters who themselves told the story through their lives. The enactments of conflicts and then the resolution were incorporated to give it more authentic feel. Focus With major emphasis put on the real characters and their life stories, the secondary emphasis in the documentary has been given to GJTMAP as a concept and its vision. #Documentary #JusticeDoorStep #Pakistan
