‘Kaalam’ translates to season in Tamil & that is exactly what I wanted to portray in this song - visually, sonically and lyrically. I get bare emotional listening to this song alone because, the journey really has been incredible and such a teaching moment🤍 Dilush’s words on Kaalam: “We made Kaalam off the back of quite an unexpected success from Unakkul Naane. Pritt and I would often talk about how exciting yet nerve-wracking the past 6 months have been for us since the single went viral. I feel the whimsical nature of the string section, with Pritt’s Carnatic-infused R&B vocals really captures that moment.
