Keepsake Box with Embossed Mandala
In this project, you will learn how-to emboss half of a mandala and cut it out before adhering it to the lid of a keepsake box. With the metal embossing on the mandala completed, adding a border to the uncut side of the mandala will round it off and fit on the edge of the keepsake box lid. You will only need a few metal embossing tools to emboss the pewter mandala. You can also use other metals for embossing the mandala. See how to use scrapbook paper to add a finishing touch to the inside of the keepsake box. _________________________ Videos mentioned: How to Use the Dry Needle Cutter Tool for Metal Embossing https://youtu.be/MU9Qmq26yKw ________________________ Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ywg8del8hnoeaj/keepsake-box-half-mandala-design.pdf?dl=0 _________________________ Supplies Used: • Wooden Keepsake box • Design – see download • Pewter • Sookwang adhesive sheets • Scrapbook paper • Satin varnish • Tools o Teflon tip tools o Stylus metal plastic burnishing stylus o Paper stump o Ball and cup tool o Texture wheels Dotted small wheel Wave texture wheel Horizontal line wide o Dry needle cutter • General o Painter’s tape o pencil o Scissors o Paintbrush o Splat mat o Household items to add texture • Off-video items o Beeswax o Patina o Metal polish _________________________ Connect With Esmeric Art: Website and Online Store: https://bit.ly/EsmericArt-WebandOnlineStore Instagram: https://bit.ly/EsmericHomeAccentsArt-Instagram https://bit.ly/EsmericArt-Instagram Pinterest: https://bit.ly/EsmericArt-Pinterest Facebook: https://bit.ly/EsmericArt-FaceBook #metalembossing
