To capture an asteroid: 1 Get your rocket into the same orbit as the asteroid flyby 2 Fast forward time until asteroid is near the SOI of Kerbin 3 Create a maneuver node until you get a close approach Add orbit to node if you have to 4 Burn node and get your close approach then cancel velocity with asteroid 5 Capture asteroid target its center of mass and pivot grabber 6 Burn retrograde and get a Kerbin orbit.
