Khupah Tanz - Basic Fiddle Lesson
Here's a step-by-step lesson on a klezmer tune called Khupah Tanz. First I'll play a mid-tempo version of the whole thing. Then we'll slowly learn it, note by note, building notes into phrases, building phrases into quarters, until we have each part. I made a video in which I play all the common scales for fiddle and violin music: https://youtu.be/mytWy3VyjpE. There are also finger illustrations to help you. Just use the tabs to get going, don't rely on it or continue to read it once you've got the tune... I made some “Learning Chunks” on the FiddleHed site to help you do this. These focused exercises contain sheet music, tabs and mp3 snippets to guide you on each step of your fiddle journey. These and all new lesson pages can be viewed for one week after publication with a FREE trial membership. Check it out here: https://fiddlehed.com And after you sign up, I’ll also send you a mini-course of lessons specially designed for your skill level. Alrighty. Play every day, have fun 😀 and thanks for making music 🙏 Now, go fiddle with it... Jason 🎻
