Gem of the Las Vegas desert,
Shining upon its hill for all to see.
Dangerous is its allure.
Hiking in you'll think it free.
Oh these plans it will subvert,
For it is more than a small detour.
I assure you the climb is much better than that sorry excuse for a poem.
