you see i cant really draw normal star to be like edgy and cool and have aura because it feels wrong. So good thing these two guys exist now. They have very different design philosophies behind them though, which can make it a challenge. Making devil star a counterpart to the gas mask design was something that i thought i wouldnt be able to be on par with. The gas mask is quite simplistic yet a pretty successful design that just hit me randomly on the head. I didn't think i'd be able to come up with something of similar calibre. So i decided to do a crazy amount of research to figure out the design for DS which made it actually turn out way cooler I think. There was a lot of details and artistic choices that went into it. To keep it brief: vietnamese opera and this one specific female archetype that exists in it. Guardian Lions and the little marble that they have (star is the marble, i guess) among like personal other personal meaning stuff. As for this meme, another thing i sunk many hours into. This one has a lot more editing and like, polish (not the country) to it, even if it technically is not even the entire animation meme ._. ive also been sick the past few days, which leads me to draw more (easiest activity for me to do). #animation #animationmeme #kismet
