KME Precision Knife Sharpening System

In this video I go over everything that comes with the kit and demonstrate how to use it. The red shop towel came in the kit as well. It was designed to be hand held but I really like the optional base plate. You can move the blade in both directions, this way and i find it to be less fatigue and allows for more comfort and the ability to see the tip of the blade better. One tip I recommend that I did not show was to lay a mirror under the blade to help see the tip and see how the burr is forming. The clamp holds the blade firm but some blades do not allow the perfect position we all strive for. KME recommends the least amount of tension possible to secure the clamp position but you will need to adjust it depending on the weight of the knife handle. If the nylon locknut is not covering the complete treads on the bolt it is subject to come loose during use. I always test products before I present the videos for everyone. Only you can decide what level of sharpness you need or desire. Knives are designed for certain task and that is why I have stated in the past if you need to chop or hack use an axe. Overall I feel this is a good product and the fact it is made in USA and has a lifetime warranty excluding the diamond plates ( they will eventually need replacing) you can be assured this is a quality product.
