Welcome to another exciting adventure with Rebecca of Sun Dragon Art & Fiber in Brevard, NC on our Sun Dragon Tips & Tricks channel! Today we are talking about German Short Rows, a wonderful alternative to what in the US could be called the "traditional wrap and turn." I like W&T (wrap and turn) for garter, the fancy name for knitting every row flat, where you have the front and back of knit stitches on both sides, they can hide your wraps. In stockinette, were you are knitting a row and purling a row (when knitting flat), and all your knit stitches or "v-necks" are on one side and all your purls or "turtlenecks" are on the other side, I much prefer German short rows or German wraps to having to pick up the wrap from a W&T to make the work look smooth. Here is my video of how to turn the instructions of a W&T into a German wrap. If you'd like to support the channel and the shop, you can PayPal donations to [email protected], or contact the shop if you would like to support us in other ways: signing up for a lesson, or taking a remote lesson, we are working on Zoom or FaceTime for appointments near or far, nothing beats one-on-one help and advice! Appointments, just as they are in the shop, are $15, and classes and project fees start at $25 and increase depending on the level of difficulty! Please contact the shop for more info, the email above or call us during business hours at 828-877-3550. If you haven't already, please subscribe, share, and tell us what you want to see!! Lots of love, Rebecca
