If you don’t know how to float, don’t go into the water.
Floating is one of the simplest skills that can save your life. It helps you stay calm, keeps your airways clear, and is the first thing to do if you’re caught in a rip.
If floating isn’t something you’re confident with, take the time to practise in a pool or book a lesson before heading to the beach. Anyone can learn - some people just need a bit more time.
This summer, know your limits and build the basics first.
