Knuckling Down • Episode 375

August 31-September 6, 2025 A trip to town takes us past last June's high winds storm devastation, an old-growth forest flattened wide open. Cleanup of the firewood site finishes and I construct another knuckle bin. We discover a hidden crop of milkweed in the south field. Fall is inexorably crowding summer away. Life on the bog is about living life in the slow lane, observing and recording the artistry and serenity of the natural world. Insley and I live together on forty-acres of forest and bog, sharing frequent moments of unexpected wonder.
