An attempt to get in some early afternoon soaring in La Coma (Castellon, Spain) ends in horrible landing from which I was lucky to walk away. Having been forced to choose a bail-out landing I assumed the wind was blowing from the right (as it was up top). It was actually blowing from the left so I ended up landing downwind, with my leg going into an irrigation gully almost designed to snap my leg at the knee. Key learning point: Always look at the nearby windsock, you idiot. :-)
