LabTalks #7: Proficiency Testing Proficiency
Proficiency testing (PT) is an essential part of a laboratory’s quality assessment program, and a CLIA requirement for non-waived testing. This external assessment of staff performance means that PT specimens received for testing must be treated in the same manner as patient specimens, with the exception of external confirmatory testing. NEVER share your results with another laboratory before sending in your results and the official reporting period is over. Record keeping and documentation requirements include maintaining all testing records, the signed Attestation forms; and all corrective actions taken when results are less than satisfactory. ======================================== See related courses products on labuniversity.org * Proficiency Testing http://labuniversity.org/proficiency-testing/ * Webinar CEexpress 24 http://labuniversity.org/webinar-ceexpress-24-proficiency-testing-doing-it-right/ ======================================== Don’t miss any other videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMACi-HuWocTzAMGJR38UAw/featured ======================================== Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/COLAResourcesInc/ ======================================== Visit us on http://labuniversity.org/ to learn more! ========================================
