Each year the Shetland Folk Festival is proud to showcase Shetland musicians, including emerging talent like Laldy!
All still at school, they are all young players who have hugely benefitted from living in a community where our musical heritage is celebrated and where traditional Shetland fiddle tuition is embedded in our education system.
We thank our Festival founder, Dr Tom Anderson who championed for this in the 1970s and it’s still going strong.
