Language Learning: Sounding Like a Native

The answer in my view is unlikely, extremely unlikely. Is it a worthwhile goal? Only in the sense of something we strive for but know we will not achieve. Language learning is about discovering a new language and culture, and communicating with people. It is not a performance sport.
