A shaft with a diameter of 40cm and a length of 600cm used for mining machinery is being repaired by laser cladding.
Compared with other methods, the advantages of laser cladding includes: high metallurgical bonding strength, strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance, small deformation, good mechanical repeatability, dense interface structure, fine grain, no holes, cracks and other defects.
Of course, there are also disadvantages, such as high cost, because the price of a laser cladding equipment is relatively high.
