In July 2013 I conducted a 3 day´s workshop about Stone Age techniques at the Laboratory for Experimental Archaeology (LEA) in Mayen/Germany. The attendants worked with several materials such as lime bast, mammoth tusk, antler, bone and flint and exercised in fire making, tree felling and spearthrowing. The LEA is well equipped and thus an excellent place for many kinds of experiments, it is situated very lovely near a spacious old millstone quarry that was exploited since Roman times.
