Lean 5S - SHINE

This is video #4 out of 6 in this series about Lean 5S. This is a great series to use as part of your kaizen event training. The lean 5S system contains 5 steps to achieving a more organized, controlled and efficient manufacturing plant. These steps are Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. And in this video, I discuss the simplest step in the 5S process, and that is the Shine step. Shinning things in a factory isn’t exactly enthralling word but it can definitely be rewarding. Leading a kaizen team through the Shine stage of a 5S event, requires a focus on safety. Doing a deep clean within the walls of a factory can present a high-risk for injuries.
