Learning based Approaches of Classification

In this lecture, the basic notions of pattern recognition are discussed. Constituents of a pattern recognition system, applications of a pattern recognition system and the different approaches of design of learning based systems are also discussed. It covers the details of perceptron learning rule, design of Artificial Neural Network (ANN), components of an ANN, working of an ANN, training and applications of ANN.
