Learning Blues Traveler Style Harmonica

Begin learning some basic Blues Traveler harmonica approaches in this lesson with just a couple of the most used, basic and manageable glissando techniques that the great John Popper carved out and has dazzeled us with for decades! I'm no where near a Popper expert but I have to say it has been a real joy beginning to decipher what my wife Kaitlin Dibble calls "learned abandon". John Popper really is wonderfully unique and exciting player and even a stout blues traditionalist could find a way to implement a few of these fun ideas into a basic 12 bar. you may be very surprised at the precision needed to execute some of these brilliant ideas that are harmonica is so naturally tuned to do well, its definitely part of Poppers genius and I believe quite possibly motivation behind some of the musical choices this band makes in choosing chord changes and composition! * Im using a "C" Hohner Crossover Harmonica here by Tom Halchak of Blue Moon Harmonicas in the key of G major, * Mixolydian approach in 2nd Position/Cross Harp. enjoy!
