In this lecture, we discuss how our model of the Dorsal gradient, when fit to data, showed that Cactus and Dorsal/Cactus complex are in the nucleus. With this realization came an interesting implication: up until this point, Dorsal gradient measurements have been systematically incorrect. When we used the model to correct for these measurements, we found the Dorsal gradient carried much more positional information than previously thought.
