In this lecture we discuss coordinate systems in vector spaces and the change of basis matrix. We also introduce affine spaces and discuss the difference between linear transformations and affine transformations.
As an application, we show that the Game of Set may be interpreted as finding lines in a 4-dimensional affine space over the field of 3 elements.
