Lecture 7: Computing Order Statistics - Part 1

This lecture mainly discusses algorithms for computing the 5th smallest element in a given list of integers. We discuss an intuitive algorithm based on sorting as well as a randomized algorithm that has linear time on average, but worst case quadratic complexity. The instruction language is Arabic, however, all slides, material, formulations, definitions, concepts, etc., are all in English.
