Nopalito dessert pie.
Recipe by Margarita Hinojosa
8 fresh cactus pieces, cleaned
pie shell
1 C sugar
3 TBS flour
3/4 TSP cinnamon
1 TBSP butter
1 prickly pear
preheat oven to 350
parboil cactus for 3 minutes in lightly salted water
drain and rinse
combine nopalitos, sugar, flour, and cinnamon
spoon into pastry shell, dot with butter
arrange pastry into lattice on top
bake for 50-60 minutes
garnish with a slice of prickly pear fruit
