Lets Talk about DSP tuning
Today we’re diving into the real-world DSP tuning session in my Chrysler 300 build. No theory class. No “perfect RTA curve” nonsense. Just practical tuning decisions and why they matter. In this session I: • Dialed in a controlled “monster truck tune” to knock down the obvious problem areas fast • Used input EQ shaping (not just output EQ) to smooth the 300 Hz–3 kHz region • Balanced low-volume clarity with high-volume aggression • Set the sub properly (currently trimmed –12 dB) to keep the system musical • Focused on integration instead of just loudness This is about understanding what the cabin is doing, what the enclosure is doing, and how small, strategic EQ moves change everything. We’ll talk: – Why a gentle midrange dip can reduce fatigue – Why older tracks reveal tuning flaws instantly – Why you don’t tune bass by ear alone – And how to build a system that sounds good quiet AND loud This is grown-man DSP tuning — controlled, intentional, and built for real listening. More upgrades are coming. More power is coming. But first, we make it right. Let’s talk about it.
