Letter

Reflected there is my own image—shimmering, wandering, and still unable to move forward. With a heavy heart, I pen a letter to my future self, asking if the answers have finally been found, and let it drift away into the sea. Soon, a new letter comes washing in with the waves. For a moment, I thought it was a reply, only to find it was a letter from my past self, carrying the exact same words. 해변에 쭈그려 앉아 수면을 바라본다. 여전히 앞으로 나아가지 못하고 방황하는 내가 수면에 일렁인다. 답답한 마음에 미래의 나에게 편지 한 통을 적는다. 그곳에선 답을 찾았냐는 내용과 함께, 편지를 바다로 흘려보낸다. 곧장 새 편지가 파도를 타고 흘러온다. 금방 답장이 온 줄 알았는데, 과거의 나에게서 온 같은 내용의 편지일 뿐이었다.
