Rotating permanent magnets induce eddy currents in an aluminium plate. Each module can lift up to 20 kg at 2500 W. By tilting the spinning arrays, a force is achieved, which is used to keep the pod laterally stabilized and to propel it next to a linear induction motor. The levitation pod project was part of the TUM Hyperloop team which won the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in 2018.
