Libre Office is a free to use office suite that has libre Office Calc a spreadsheet program. Libre Calc is like Excel, feels and works just as Excel. Spreadsheet in Calc can be opened in Excel and vice versa. To demonstrate the inter operability we solve a linear programming problem in Libre Calc save it, and open it in Excel to further work on it. It is flawless. The greatest advantage of using Libre Office is what you can work in both Windows and Linux!!! It can be installed in both. Documents and spreadsheets made in MS Office can be opened and futher worked on. Libre Office is not MS Office, its different. Must say, better.
