Life Journal Preview

The purpose of the life journal is to give students a low stake writing opportunity with choice. Writing assignments often revolve students taking a piece of writing through an entire writing process. While this is needed, students should also have the opportunity to write in an on-demand format where writing can be produced in a single sitting. Students have 20 school days to write in their life journal to form a habit of journaling, reflection, and expressing creative ideas. By the end of the 20 days of writing, students should become more fluent, confident writers who better understand their writing preferences and style.
