Lifecycle testing mechanical cable involves a series of tests designed to validate the performance of wire rope, mechanical cable or custom mechanical cable assemblies.
Lifecycle testing examines often thousands of points of data to determine a cable's efficacy in the field. Because many mechanical cable assemblies are performing mission-critical functions, including those helping actuate motion in surgical robotics, or other medical instrumentation, lifecycle testing serves and urgent validation function.
In this fascinating podcast-style conversation, Craig sat down with one of Sava's associate engineers, and lifecycle expert, Connor Chiuchiolo to discuss this sophisticated testing process. Craig and Connor cover tungsten cable, stainless steel cable and the complex processes that go into testing the lifecycle of a variety of application and design scenarios.
